This CD features the four-song EP's "Tiny Dynamite" and "Echoes in a Shallow Bay," which shows the Cocteau Twins in a bit of an experimental period between the "surely this is the voice of God" release TREASURE and the new-direction album BLUE BELL KNOLL. The production is much more raw and sparser than the songs of that album/5(13).

  2. Echoes in a Shallow Bay was re-released in November, on a combined disc and audio cassette with Tiny Dynamine under 4AD catalog designation CAD / Peaked at #65 on the UK album chart. Re-released in as part of EPs and Singles Box Set. A remastered version of “Pale Clouded White” appears on the collection Stars and Topsoil.

Originally, Tiny Dynamineand Echoes in a Shallow Baywere released as a pair of EPs in similar covers within a few months of each other in ; the songs were actually recorded during the same sessions, but the band wished to release them without the hoopla of a full album. This was probably a wise decision, as listening to the two EPs together on one CD, it's clear that these eight songs are a 5/

  6. Nov 15,  · This and it's twin EP (Tiny dynamine) are the best sounding Cocteau Twins EPs from the 80's era. These songs were recorded to test the production capacities of the new recording studio the band had at the time. Originally they didn't intend to release these tracks, but the results were great so they issued the final product on two EPs/5().
